Holidays, part two

Once again, it's snowing in Paris... I'm starting to get used to it, and i've reached a conclusion : it's much easier (and safer) to walk with heels in the snow. Try it, you'll see.

We played at Les Disquaires last Tuesday, with Hugo and Stephen. We had a good time... It was nice to play with Hugo again ! I have to say that i wasn't in a good mood that day because of some... things.

But it's Christmas day tomorrow, and I just can't wait. I love that kind of family things, traditional occasions,... I'm gonna buy some very good bread at the best bakery in Paris, and i'll buy the huge beef rib my mother ordered yesterday ; since i love cooking i'll probably start to prepare it and to cook the potatoes and the mushrooms. And after Christmas i'll spend a few days in the countryside, one hour away from Paris, with my family and Stephen's daughter - who is basically my brother's girlfriend (read this once again, you'll get it quick), Lily. Should be nice... And it should also be a good opportunity to start working on my exams... Though i'd rather write some new songs instead.

And there's something i'm gonna miss a lot during those five long days :

Holidays...

I'm on holidays !

It's been snowing so much lately. Christmas is so close. Cold wind, snow, Christmas lights, white skies,... Such a nice time. Maybe because my birthday is not that far either !

And yes, i've got a new song ! I wrote the lyrics on the train to Switzerland, and i wrote the music last night. It's called God Is Dead.

I did a gig last Thursday at Le Pop In, in Paris. Stephen played with me. It was really cool. Here are a couple of photos taken by the photographer Aurore Bayle-Loudet.

I'm also playing tomorrow night (Tuesday 21st December) at Les Disquaires (6 rue des Taillandiers, 75011 Paris). Here's the Facebook event : http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=174449729236260&index=1

Well now i've given you some news, i'm going to walk my puppy and play with him in the snow. And i'm also going to buy some Christmas presents. And  i'm going to have a interview for job. That's it. At least for today.

LOVE xxx

Interview by "FROM PARIS"

And here's the video i told you about a few days ago...! I was interviewed by Aude S. (FROM PARIS), at home ! The song i play at the end of the video is "Loneliness" ; i wrote it when i was still living in London, in June 2010.

By the way, i'm playin at Le Pop In (Paris) on Thursday 16th December at 9:00pm, and at Les Disquaires (Paris) on Tuesday 21st December. Both gigs will be free. Be there :)

SWITZERLAND !

Hey everyone !
I've just come back from a wonderful an intense trip to Lausanne (CH) with Stephen and Mocke, where we've played two gigs. The first one was really "rock'n'roll" since the sound was down, but e managed to do a very nice and intimate almost-acoustic-session. Last night we played The Rocking Chair in Vevey, a very nice music venue. The sound was amazing, and we did a very beautiful performance... We even played a new song i wrote recently : "Traces", and we did a cover of Velvet Underground's "I'll Be Your Mirror".

Corinne (Leman Music Booking) and her friend Alban were so lovely and generous with us. We've been living in Alban's beautiful house, down by the lake. It's been such a pleasure to meet them and to live with them for 3 days.

I can't wait to go back to Switzerland !!!

Here are a few pictures that we've taken :

Gig at La Scène Bastille - photos by Sophie Jarry

I played La Scène Bastille Wednseday night. We did such a nice performance in a very soft atmosphere. Mocke and Stephen were really inspired and played new lines, new things.

My friend Sophie Jarry also came to take some photos. I'm sure you've already heard of her ! She's really good and she takes very beautiful portraits, backstage and live pictures. We met in London, while we were both living there ; we were two Frenchies in the UK, we were meant to meet there, ha ! Here are some lovely pictures that she took :
